Low Bite Frequency Doesn't Prove Someone is a Good Trainer
It doesn't prove they're a bad one, either
I got myself embroiled in a facebook thread with a bunch of other dog trainers the other day. I commented on the stupidity of a statement by another trainer who said “If you’re a dog trainer and you’ve been bit 10 times in the last year. You may not know what you’re doing.”
I quickly found myself at the bottom of a social media digital dog pile. I was accussed of having an oversized ego, “compensation issues”, and “glorifying dog bites” by a bunch of trainers who have no clue that I’ve been paid substantial speaker fees for my seminars on avoiding and defending against dog bites and attacks for service processor associations and delivery service companies.
